What do we do?

To ensure we reach our goals we have grouped our activity in three action lines:

Training

Training logoIn Iavante, training is centred on care processes that guarantee the continuity and quality of healthcare services.

The Healthcare Process could be defined as the itinerary followed by patients from the moment they enter the Andalusian Public Health System. Each phase of the process (primary care consultations, diagnostic tests, surgical treatment, etc.) requires the intervention of different professionals, scenarios, techniques and technologies. The Regional Ministry of Health has organised its professionals and health centres on these processes; this is called Process-based Management.

Professionals play a leading role in this new, citizen-based approach and must develop their competencies and make efforts to explore and apply new technologies capable of enhancing the quality of the healthcare provided. Our training model is based on this commitment.

Our methodology includes the use of physical and virtual reality simulators; we also provide training in experimental surgical procedures in an environment that faithfully reflects real clinical situations and contexts (classrooms, operating rooms, consultation rooms, intensive care areas and out-of-hospital areas), recreating real-life medical settings at different stages of the healthcare process.

Evaluation and selection

Evaluation and selection logoOur method of evaluation provides a means of sharing knowledge among institutions and is backed by the personal experience of our team of professionals. The system is mainly designed for use by organisations and institutions and aims to provide methods and systems for analysing complex organisational situations.

To assess professional competencies we use the knowledge, methodologies, technologies and real-life scenarios we apply to training, gauging professional activity through strategic indicators that measure the effectiveness of the organisation.

Innovation and technology

Innovation and technologyIn line with research and innovation policies, our Foundation implements Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) in the field of healthcare, following the dictates of the framework of the Regional Ministry of Health’s 2nd Quality Plan and the Second Modernisation of Andalusia.

Our aim is to create a technological basis from which to demonstrate the usefulness and new opportunities for improvement provided by ICTs in the field of healthcare.

We develop innovative, highly technical projects applicable to the Andalusian Public Health System and focused on a wide range of subjects such as e-learning, collaboration, multimedia and multi-device systems, robotic and virtual simulation, and artificial intelligence systems applied to training, with particular emphasis on using and publishing these developments as free software.

We apply a proactive approach to our work, seeking collaboration and participation in projects in which emphasis is laid on innovation and technological development both on a national and international level.
